Jimmy Rollins is in Clearwater taking ground balls and batting
practice rehabbing his sprained ankle. Rollins still needs more time
which is fine as he is not eligible to return to the Phillies until May
5th. Charlie Manual reported on Rollins status saying, “Jimmy’s doing
infield work, and he’s taking batting practice. He’s coming along
The Phillies are holding down the fort in Jimmy’s absence but he is
a key to this team and they will be that much better when he returns.

Jimmy Rollins will miss another game as his ankle is still causing him pain. Rollins, who hoped to be back for the beginning of the series with the Astros, is not recovering like the team had hoped.
The question now is whether or not to put Rollins on the disabled list. If he is he will not be eligible to play again until April 25th. Without him playing the team is not only short an MVP player but also short on the bench. Hopefully J-Roll will be ready for the series against the New York Mets!
